- New designed custom steel grill that locks to the top and is removable. Does not rust.

My journey of building rocket stoves began three years ago. I started with designing and building a large stove for my own use in emergency situations, like a power outage at supper time. I had many suggestions for a stove that was small and portable. So in the end I ended up with this stove I named Shadrach.
The original stove was a success. But with that there was many suggestions and requests. So I redesigned the stove to bring an even better full featured design. A larger high capacity design using 4" x 3" x .125" USA sourced mild steel tubing. Redesigned legs so they will fit either side and offer a bit more height. The legs also include a nice fit to the top of an ammo can so the stove can gain additional height by setting it on the can.
The stove is designed to burn any biomass such as wood, twigs, grass or leaves. Most any of these sources can be found in most places even if you live in a city. The heat generated from the fuel is directed to a pan that sits on the top of the stove. A specially designed funnel shape on top allows even heating, the use of different sizes of pots and pans. With the included grill you can cook direct or use to support small pots or pans.
Perfect for any outdoors men, camper, fisherman, hunter, emergency or many other activities where a biomass cook stove is needed.

In testing I had no problems bringing an 8 inch cast iron pan filled half full of oil to 400 degrees. The insulated base raises the temperature in the burn chamber to reburn the gasses, direct more heat to cooking surface, and eliminate any smoke. The stove only produces any visable smoke when first lite or if a new piece of fuel is added. Perfect for any outdoorsman, camper, fisherman, hunter, prepper, or even those in an Urban area needing a portable stove using fuel found just about anywhere. The Shadrach rocket stove should last a life time with it's heavy construction of 3/16 wall burn chamber. Cool down for storage takes around 20 minutes. This stove is designed for outdoor use only and should be set up on a solid surface. I would say that a 10 inch or smaller pan would be ideal for best results.
